Abilities • Andrea has the double edged gift to heal. The power to heal draws on her own energy and once it's gone...it's gone. How can she be expected to choose? She never asked for such responsibility.
Fortunately, Andrea is also a 'conductor' of magic. More traditionally, she would be called a 'channel'. She is capable of channeling and magnifying the powers of others through physical contact. But everything has its downfall and this particular ability is extremely dangerous, usually leaving her temporarily blind, catatonic and her hair shriveled from the friction. In combat, Andrea is at a severe disadvantage. She does possess the basic abilities of all mages which consist of energy manipulation, but the fact remains that her energy is passive. It's difficult to use in an offensive manner. In a battle, it's pure will--or luck--that holds her foes at arms length.

There are very few people who would peg Andrea as a healer. But then, there are very few who are aware of her history, or her low key fascination with psychology and philosophy. Her teaching degree, in fact, was secondary. Her first degree is in pyschology. Andrea's original career path derailed, driving her into education and her keen abilities to see beneath the surface to be used less conspicuously in the classroom.
The woman is something of an irony, unconsciously painting herself a facade that makes her come off as scattered and unorganized--even oblivious, in order to protect herself from her own insecurities.
Will becoming a Healer, and carrying Anhur help Andrea rise to her full potential? Or will she crumble under the weight of possible failure?
