What are you afraid of?

The Black Tyrant is a nightmare creation born of Human and Ancient hatred.  Talicor's full history is yet untold, but the Chosen Ones are not his first victims. In fact, the Fire Sorceress herself appears to have archaic knowledge of his origins and of his ability to re-emerge after what we can only assume was a long hiatus, given that his existence appears to be largely un-remembered by all but the oldest Ariaten Races, namely those patron races who have been protected by the Priam.

The Sorceress lays claim to a war, fought by her family clan: a desperate attempt to keep the demon from coming again.

Talicor's abilities thrive as manipulation and are fueled by his connection to a dead world that the living consider an equivalent to the hell that humans have feared for centuries. His power to bend others to his will and to subtly twist their minds to favor his own is legendary and seen in the Fire Sorceress' allegiance.

The Tyrant's motivations are considered by myth to be driven by chaos and pure hatred, unbiased in regard to species. He seeks power, to unleash the full force of Que'Triall and to achieve dominion and create chaos over all the realms.

Those who believe in the prophecies and have prepared for his return, have also sought the focal powers that were created by the Priam and the Prophet himself, laboring under the belief that the Governors created these magics in order to provide a defense. But, this defense also created a malleable source of power directly linked to the Priam who maintain the veils between the worlds. Fear that the Tyrant might be able to use them to unlock the realms himself created a race for possession.
